Creative Education Administrator

(£24k (pro rata), 0.6 FTE, 12 month fixed term contract)


Interactive Scientific Ltd (iSci) is a small but growing company working at the interface of digital aesthetics, science and interactive technology to build exciting and immersive user experiences. We are currently developing a new product, the Nano Simbox, which is a platform used to enhance science and make the invisible molecular nano-world visible, bringing to life the dynamic world of atoms and molecules. We use interactive technology to unlock the experience of learning and understanding science.

We will be working very closely with teachers and learners to develop the Nano Simbox and engaging considerably with other stakeholders throughout the education sector. We are looking for an individual to join the team in the key role of creative education administrator. We require someone who is comfortable with client facing activities and highly organised with an interest in design for education.

This role will be based at our office in central Bristol. Flexible working is negotiable.

Job Requirements

To support the creative and educational development of the Nano Simbox by working with the iSci team to deliver:

  1. General administrative support for iSci projects and the business as a whole, including:

    • Scheduling and attending meetings, creating agendas, taking notes, and taking minutes
    • Collating reporting documents for iSci projects;
    • Dealing with phone, social media and email enquiries;
    • Developing and maintaining company systems and processes;
    • Being first line support for internal team on company system and processes;
    • Coordinating team activity;
    • Updating the client relationship manager;
    • Ordering and maintaining stationary and office equipment.
  2. Social media activity through content creation with the creative producer and the rest of the team.

  3. Updating the website.

  4. Assistance with scheduled events and assistance in planning user testing.

  5. Assisting liaison with schools and other educational partners.

  6. Representing the company in a professional manner in front of external stakeholders.

  7. Contribute to the Nano Simbox design process by being part of sprints and team meetings.

Person Spec


  • Experience with office management in an innovative environment, including setting up and maintaining office systems and processes.

  • Experience of different software/IT systems, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, email clients, financial systems and databases.

  • Experience of arranging meetings and note taking.

  • Experience dealing with commercial clients and external stakeholders.

  • Experience in using social media.

  • Comfortable working as part of a diverse team with a range of skills.

  • Experience of procurement.

  • Enthusiasm and good communication skills.


  • Interest in design and/or education.

  • Experience in events management.

  • Experience of content management systems.

  • Experience of creating content for YouTube and successfully managing Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts.
