We’re really pleased to share that we were recently accepted onto the xEdu accelerator Spring 17 program in Finland! xEdu is an accelerator just for edtech start-ups that provides insight, coaching, and opportunities to co-design Nano Simbox with schools from one of the best education systems in the world.
What does this accelerator mean for Nano Simbox?
This opportunity is an exciting development for Nano Simbox. During this accelerator, we can meet other like-minded tech start-up’s trying to make a difference with edtech. From business development to pedagogy insight with schools, xEdu allows us to focus in on the problem we are trying to solve with Nano Simbox. Students can often find it hard to make mental models, find science ‘too difficult’ or feel disengaged from science education all together. With Nano Simbox, we are making science communication fun and accessible, yet rigorously scientific. We are encouraging learners to discover the molecular world in an immersive, playful and creative way. We want to bring out the inner scientist in all learners who use Nano Simbox! Having time to nurture Nano Simbox’s development and harness expertise from xEdu is truly invaluable. We are really excited for what this journey will hold.
This week, MD Becky Sage has been in Helsinki with xEDU to kick start the program, getting to know fellow start-ups on the accelerator, and learning more about what our journey will look like over the next few months.
